Gnome Developers are Interface Nazis

Says the Penguin man himself. This is a bit old for anyone that reads Slashdot. But I was catching up with Slashdot’s old news just now and found this.
That’s _not_ like any other open source project I know about. Gnome seems
to be developed by interface nazis, where consistently the excuse for not
doign something is not […]

Kitty iPod Nano Pouch

I don’t really know if this is the cutest or weirdest iPod Pouch I’ve ever seen.

I’d still probably buy it if I had a Nano. Which judging by the amount of adds I see of it won’t be very long since my brainwash is almost complete.

PSPSOne Alpha 0.1 released

A new Alpha of the Playstation One emulator has just come out.
There haven’t been any reports on games that run decently so don’t expect much from it. Right now the developer is working on his re-compiler but it’s a bit hard to debug so the update won’t come very often, but still, this is one […]

Playstation 3 Conceptual Design

When everyone read that the Playstation 3’s “boomerang” controller was a concept design they were a bit relieved. However, this time it’s different. The console’s design we currently know and (most) love is in fact also a conceptual design.

What would you change on the current version?
I’d change the Spiderman 2 font on the side of […]

Intel Dropping Pentium Brand

Intel is planning on quietly phasing out the Pentium moniker that it has used since 1993. Instead, it will simply use names for each processor, such as “Intel D 920″. This represents a shift in focus from the processor brand to the platform.
According to Krewell, the processor is becoming less important in Intel’s product line-up: […]

Windows XP Home Support gets quietly extended

A few days ago I wrote an article that Microsoft planned to end XP Home support on the end of the current year. The support date has been however extended by two years after Windows Vista’s release with little or no announcement at all.
This seems like a normal decision for most people seeing how used […]

How to: External Storage for PSP

Steve Makofsky has recently written an interesting article in which he converts an Asus WL-HDD2.5 into a PSP media server.
The final use for this is to stream music to your PSP. But of course this won’t be much use to you when you’re out in the park. It’s no iTunes remote, but it’s the next […]
