AnimeReactor have just released the results of their polls, and of their Jury’s nominations for the best Anime series of 2006. There will be, in most cases, two awarded series for each category separated by a “-”. The first one refers to the community’s choice and the second refers to the Jury’s pick. When there is only one awarded anime for a category, that means that it was both the community’s and the Jury’s pick.

From these results you can definitely tell that Suzumiya Haruhi was very popular during this past year, and in my personal opinion, I think that some of the results were a bit biased due to that, although I do agree that it is an excellent Anime.

Those Anime titles marked with an Asterisk (*) are the ones that I’ve watched and consider excellent. Although I haven’t seen most of the titles awarded from the list, from my past experience in viewing the awarded shows I can guarantee that all of them will be great to watch.
