When the Second Generation iPod Shuffle was announced, one of the things that disappointed people about it was that it didn’t come with the new and improved headphones of the original iPod, or even the Nano’s.
Thankfully, the newly released colored Shuffles do come with these new headphones, but the question is, how do you distinguish the old gray iPod Shuffle with the old headphones, from the new one with the improved headphones?

So if the fear of grabbing some “old” headphones by mistake was keeping you from buying the iPod Shuffle you can now rest assured.

1Ah. But what if you order it from Apple.com directly. Which one do you get?

2I can only suppose that you’ll get the most recent one. I highly doubt that they’d send you the old ones.

3I just received a silver one from the apple store and they send you a GREEN package (ie, looks old), but with the new headphones. The serial number on it is 4H706, so my shuffle was made after the new ones were announced.
