I’ve been talking to some Mac developers recently, regarding mostly universal binaries but also features. I recently got a new iMac (Core Duo) and I’ve been trying to find out when the UBs will be coming.
1st Question: Camino (asked in IRC: irc.mozilla.org #camino)
Is there going to be RSS Detection for Camino any time soon?
Yes, it’s planned for version 1.1
(After this question everybody started complaining that they get this question 30 times a day.)
2nd Question: Conversation
Can we expect to see a universal binary any time soon?
I am currently working on Conversation 3, and I expect to release it as a universal binary. The developments are in their initial stages, I expect a release during spring.
3rd Question: NetNewsWire
Is there a Universal Binary coming in the near future?
The short answer: as soon as possible. This winter.
The long answer: the next release of NetNewsWire will have some new features, bug and performance fixes, and will of course include NewsGator syncing. It will also be a universal binary — and a free upgrade for existing users.
If we haven’t talked about NetNewsWire a whole lot lately, it’s because we’re heads-down working hard on the next release. Expect to start hearing more about it soon.

1For me, RSS support for Camino isn’t as important as Extensibility. That is the main thing I have missed since switching over to Camino from Firefox. I would love have a web developer toolbar for Camino.

2Could someone hook me up with a URL for Conversation? I’ve never heard of the software before and I’m intrigued seeing it mentioned among two other apps I use on a daily basis. Unfortunately “conversation” is too common a word, even when combined with “mac software” for Googling…
