Internet Explorer with Tabs and Mouse Gestures

I like IE. But it doesn’t have tabs, and it doesn’t have mouse gestures, and that just sucks. Fortunately, IE is just a shell for the IE engine… and anyone can write a browser that uses it. So there are several tabbed browsing wrappers for IE. The one I like the best is MyIE2.

Taking care of all your SCSI & Fibre Channel needs. Did I mention my next computer is also gonna have a screaming 15K SCSI RAID-5 setup? I didn’t? Well it is, and it is gonna be blazing fast. Why? Because I like em blazing fast.

Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools

Yes, yes, I know I am going to hell for posting two Microsoft pieces in a row, but I figure if some of us are going to use it we might as well extract as much power as we can from it. Right? Okay then. Here is a set of tools that any admin should […]

Improved Outlook Searching

I don’t know about you, but I have a lot of e-mail saved up from over the years. Whenever I need to search to find something, Outlook’s built-in search isn’t exactly up to the task. While most noticeably it’s not all that speedy, I think that it’s greatest shortcoming is that it can’t […]

/* and you’ve layed off so many people you probably have […]

Ars: Can Linux (or other OS) ever catch up?

Discussion on what it will take to replace Windows on the x86 platform. I agree with one of the members when he mentions that it will take a different paradigm in desktop computing to overtake Windows. In essence all the major desktop are emulating each other and it is someone who does it different (and […]

SitePoint: What’s So Good About OOP?

Great post over at Sitepoint that shows why OOP should be used in favor of Functional Programming. This guy shows clear thinking in the sense that from the beginning he explains why many functional programmers just don’t see why OOP is better. Filled with some good examples.

Ars: Why did you choose your platform?

Interesting view (no flamewar) on why geeks chose their current platform. I would prefer to have Linux as my current platform, but ASP.Net development and school work has me stuck with Windows Server 2003.
