Wow, wish I had a couple of these when I was a kid! Rather than control the cars with a remote or god forbid, your own hands, you draw a “track” on the top of the car itself, which is then converted by a processor in the car into directions that the car will follow. Draw a circle, and the car will continuously drive in a circle. Draw a straight line and it will go in a line and stop. Draw a complex spiral and it will follow the entire thing. You draw on top of the car with a marker, but there is a touch sensitive pad that transfers all the data to the processor. The idea is being shown to Mattel apparently, so we might actually be able to play with these one day. Be sure to watch the video for a demonstration of how it works.
At least it’ll be cooler than the toy car designed by the women’s group on The Apprentice.

1That’s hot. So many possibilities and competitions you can have with these things. I don’t give a rat’s ass how old I am, I am getting some when they come out.
