Dark Horizons has confirmed that the rumor about two Star Wars Television Movies is false. Most likely it was simply a miscommunication or translation error from the magazine where the rumor originated.
The article states that we should see the CG animated Clone Wars series in 2008, and that the live action show will be on the air in 2009 or 2010. Currently there is no official home for either series on a network, and until that issue is resolved, Lucasfilm will be unable to show us any footage from the CG show that is apparently well into production.
I’m looking forward to having more Star Wars in the future…but boy do I wish we could get away from the time period of the movies. I’d love to see something in Star War’s past or future…but it looks like the only area Lucas is interested in playing in is before Episode 3, and before Episode 4. Ah well…

1From one fan to another I thought you would want to know that The History Channel is running this contest offering the chance to win a trip to Star Wars Celebration Europe. How awesome a free trip to London to keep the celebration going!! No catches either, entry is totally free! This is to celebrate the upcoming special STAR WARS: THE LEGACY REVEALED that premieres on The History Channel May 28 at 9/8c. It’s this pretty cool look at the historical, political and mythological influences on Star Wars. Enter the sweepstakes at www.history.com/starwars/sweepstakes
