Gateway is taking a page from the Apple playbook, and is holding a special event scheduled for 9AM EDT on September 27th. the teaser ad posted above has a very Apple-like feel to it, and the computer is being billed as an asthetically pleasing All-in-One computer.

Sounds like Gateway’s answer to the iMac to me.

Not that that’s a bad thing. I hope this computer is beautiful, powerful, and inexpensive, because I think PC makers should spend a little more time on the design of their machines. We’ve certainly seen a turn toward that in recent years, but I still thing most PC makers fall behind Apple in design - and it would be nice to see them up their game…maybe Gateway is going to do just that.
