You know, I watch a lot of Star Trek reruns throughout the day, thanks in large part to working at home (and the fact that there is no less than 6 hours of Star Trek aired every weekday in the U.S.) , and after seeing this new 32 inch TV from Hitachi - I can’t help but feel that the 24th Century technology is just too darn bulky.
I mean, look at this 32″ LCD TV. It’s 0.75-inch (1.9cm) thick! This isn’t a production model, though. This device is the prototype for a television that we’ll see on sale in 2009. Still…I want one. Badly.

1One day, we’ll simply paint our walls with a electro-sensitive photo-substance, and make it whatever we want — a big white wall.. no, a big dark red wall… with a 30″ x 40″ frame running STNG “Inner Light” episode … and another 15″ x 12″ with my website … while I position a clone of that frame to blog this site.
Sound fun?? Give me a couple of years.
