Back in 2001 it turns out the Nintendo filed for a patent for a device that looks kinda like a GameBoy and a Nokia candy bar phone.

The USPTO took until June 2006 to issue a patent for this device…so it’s entirely possible that Nintendo is stil considering something like this. Of course, I’m sure it would look MUCH different than the picture above.

Could we see a Nintendo DS or Gameboy Phone in the future? I guess it’s possible…but do we really need it?
