After delaying the announcement for as long as they could, Nintendo has finally announced the shipping date for Metroid Prime 3 in the United States, August 20. You can also get a hold of some new screenshots in Joystiq’s Metroid 3 gallery.
Despite only “leaking” excellent titles a few times per year (every trimester or so), Nintendo still manages to sell more than any of it’s competitors. Although I’m looking forward for Super Mario Galaxy a bit more, Metroid will make an excellent title to play during the holidays. But, of course, since I live in Europe, for me the game will probably only arrive during Autumn.
