The PSP is reportedly even easier to tunnel because it uses the recognized standards of wireless networking, rather than a closed, proprietary system like Nintendo’s. Second, have you ever heard of a period?
Third, (on a side note) The DS has no web browsing capibilitys, and the psp is not JUST web browsing. There are games comming for both systems that will have true online gameplay. James does have a point though that we should try to form player groups in our towns. Just rember that these systems are still new and you need to wait untill develipers have mastered programming for them. Untill then bite your lip and enjoy these great new pieces of tech. If you dont like them, dont buy them.

4There is also a MMORPG scheduled for the PSP. It will have thousands of players online, but there is a lot of mystery surrounding it. The DS has extremly limited online ability.

5Actually, there is a web browser for the PSP, there are a couple… for instance if you use the wipeout pure game and use the online update utility it can be a browser. All you would have to do is simply:
1. Create a DNS Server that can forward DNS requests.
2. Set it up so that any requests from the psp to access scea.sony.com actually forwards a different (fake) result… say… psp.mydomain.com or whatever… (i believe that is the dns name that wipeout pures updater uses check http://www.psp-hacks.com for more info)
3. turn your psp on, load up wipe out, and fire away the updater…. WALAAAH! you get a customized page/portal (of course u have to use one of the public ones, or create your own.)

I think that you just have to host or join a game, but there is not enought people out there (especially since the amoutn fo people that do have them are spread out over the country)to play online, because most games use Ad Hoc online and to use that the two PSP’s have to be fairly close

17Check Sony’s official website they have a connection toturial. All you will need is a wirless network. The psp configures to it and only game that suppory infrastucture mode can be played online.

40A lot of you guys are really out of it, been drinking a little too much? You can actually do nearly anything with the psp. There are many new adapters and much more to come. Yes, you can play RS on a psp but you have to have a wireless connection! (meaning that you need a rouder that you can already use to connect your home computers to the internet) Of course you need to transfer all the information of your connection onto your psp. Another important thing is buying a keyboard that will plug into it, yes, they do have those, which will make it a lot easier to type. I believe you can also plud a mouse into certain psp keyboards… but I’m not entirely sure.
One more thing, stop asking how to get onto the internet suing psp! Many people ahve been posting trying to help, do you know how to read? I’m hoping you do …

41One thing I forgot to mention is that your wireless connection will only go as far as you’re paying it to…. The companies that let you have a connection almost anywhere in the world are most liekly the ones you want, not the ones that’ll only go throughout your house, because then you might as well jsut plug it into a phone line and enter the simple connection preperties…

43Well for me it was Firmware 2.00+ or stick with 1.50 and have free games via homebrew (NBA 0, fifa 06, Pro Evo 5, NFSU, Midnight Club DUB and many more) so i have had to make a really hard choice on weather to keep up-ti-date with firmware and get new features or stick with 1.50 and have free games!!

75Hey people, sorry to say you cant use Runescape on the PSP YET…Sony is gonna launch a new program that you can download to your PSP to use as an actual web browser. Until thats out, your not going to be able to play Runescape on it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

90Hey Everyone, i found a way to play PSP Online from your home without a wireless router. Attach the PSP to your computer and download PSP Connect. It’s a program that connects to all other players playing using Wi-Fi. Remember not to disconnect the psp while playing on PSP Connect, otherwise you will lose service…theres also and Xbox connect, which is a free way to play xbox live. Simply connect the xbox to your comuter via system link wire, and you can play anyone like its a system link game. It’s not exactly legal, so don’t get caught.

102It’s possible to play runescape on the PSP, you just need the correct PSP formatted JAVA for the PSP. I’m just looking for the people with a link, but this has just turned into a cyber brawl. You can play, and all that oppose are wrong, the PSP uses Windows, therefore can play it.

BY THE WAY TRY THIS OUT SIDE UR HOSE YOU MAY GET SOMEONE ELSES ROUTER AND ARE ABLE TO USE IT IF NOT BLOCKT!! GET THE ONE THAT SEYS SECURITY–NONE CLICK TO THE RIGHT–NONE–EASY-CLICK TO THE RIGHT- THEN CLICK X–TEST CONNECTION AND IF U GET THE SIGNAL THE SISTEM WILL THEN GET THE IP ADDRES AND WALLA UR CONNECTED JUST GO TO THE BROUSER AND LEARN HOW TO USE IT PS THE SCREEN THAT COMES OUT ON THE BROUSER IS ALWAYS BLANK SO JUST TIPE IN A WEB SITE AND HAVE FUN!!!!

131i can connect and i have a 100% rate but when i try to use it it tells me that it can’t find an access point even though i have one right in front of me. It says to check the security but it’s my wi-fi and i turned the security off.

158you guys are alL dumbasses toplay online you go to wifi play then infastructure then see if there are any games available host one. as for the psp browser it is a real browser it just doesnt have flash yet so you cant play mainstream games…..and if there is an MMORPG coming out for psp i cant wait….i sent this on my psp!
