Looks like Microsoft is moving on when it comes to the original Xbox gaming console, as they have stopped production of the machine, and now stores are dropping the consoles from their sites.
Visitors to Walmart.com, Target.com, and BestBuy.com can no longer purchase an Xbox console from those sites.
These three key sites no longer show so much as an entry for the original Xbox console, though they do allow customers to buy Xbox-branded games and peripherals. GameStop.com and Amazon.com, on the other hand, allow customers to purchase pre-owned or refurbished Xboxes. But while pre-owned Xboxes are in great supply, there is no way to buy a brand-new, factory-sealed Xbox from these retailers. The Amazon listing show that the factory Xbox model is “currently not available.”
I know that Sony and Nintendo have not released their systems yet, but they are still putting them out there (atleast until their new machines do come out0, and I think it is not too bright of Microsoft to not take advantage of having a price competitive product against those two consoles in the market by making Xbox’s for $79.99 or something. That no one would have much of an excuse not to get the original machine as part of their gaming collection.

5ha another shenanigan to sell more 360’s i cant believe it. if sony or nintendo follow this path it would be a shame and alot of wasted hours making a damn console that almost everyone has.
