If you are one of those persons that don’t buy an iPod because you hate iTunes and it’s restricted DRM, now you can install this freeware program called YamiPod that lets you manage your iPod’s music without the need of iTunes and copy music to and from any PC and back. This application also works in Windows and Linux.

This software is cool. But it couldn’t copy the purchased music files for mobile phone use.

There is a simple guide to convert protected music file to plain MP3.
