I’ve been talking about Revoltech toys to anyone who would care to listen that I totally forgot about my recent Batman haul.
Ever since I decided to trim down my toy collection to just two lines, Batmans have become my primary line. I am constantly on the lookout for affordable deals (I’m a cheap collector) in classifieds, online sales and auctions. I’ve managed to start a very frugal collection that mainly covers DC Direct figures. I’ve got Gotham By Gaslight Batman, Thrillkiller Batman, Azrael (a gift from a dear friend), JSA Liberty Files Batman and Red Son Batman. I’ve got a Kotobukiya figure as well as the Paul Dini inspired Batmans from the animated series. Those are just some of the figures that I have in my collection right now.
Recently, I managed to acquire a cool 12″ Mattel Batman with a great stand that has pegs to put in the various weapons from his Batarang. I am also quite stoked to acquire my first statue — a Black and White Batman statue based on Tim Sale’s art. These Black and White statues are probably my most desired Batmans. The only thing stopping me from collecting them are the steep price for these statues. But if I get lucky, I just might start seriously collecting them, never mind the price tag.

2Someday I will go back and get most of the Black and White statues, but for now they’re out of my price range.
I really like the DC Direct figures, and have quite a few, but don’t neglect Mattel’s DC Universe Classics line, as they have several great figures planned for this year, and several of them are in wave 2 which is just hitting.

3I agree with the previous comment about them being a little pricey but they are beautiful. I especially like the new one of NEAL ADAMS art…nice!
