It’s been a while since there was any Anime (or manga) news on ForeverGeek so I decided to bring a review of my latest acquisitions.

Before buying these volumes I had already seen the anime OVA a few years ago (wow, it’s already been 6 years) and enjoyed it a lot.

Angel Sanctuary is basically the story of the struggle between Angels and Demons (hold the cliche thoughts) and two twin Angels which are the strongest of all below Adam and God. But it happens that one of those twins is reincarnated in the body of a young teenager named Setsuna. It also happens that he is in love with his twin (human) sister even though the angel that his inside him is a woman. It also happens that every time you’re going to read a volume you need to read the character introduction page just to remember what all of them are because the story is so thick and complicated, but very well written and drawn.

The first two volume serves to introduce most of the characters, enemy, friend and neutral. The third and fourth is where the story starts becoming complicated, as more and more characters are introduced and add themselves to the plot-line. I have no idea how the creator manages to keep track of all the events but still he manages to pull it together.

It isn’t a Manga you can read just to relax and pass time because you have to pay attention to what is happening in order to keep up with it, but the story absorbs you so much when you’re reading it that I doubt that will be much of a problem.

This story isn’t an action story either, while it does feature some action, some violence and sometimes even some comedy this story is mostly one of love and drama.

From 1 to 5 I give it a stunning 4.6!
