I had no idea what I was getting into when I picked up this .99 cent #0 issue of “Black Summer” a new mini-series from the potentially criminally insane mind of Warren Ellis.
I’m not going to tell you much about it. I’m just going to tell you to go buy it.
It is a superhero story that revolves around a group of heroes who at one time were the 7 most powerful people in the world. Loss, depression, and various other things have separated them over the years, and as the story begins one of the former heroes, is watching television, and thinking about days gone by. He is surprised to see his old friend John Horus on television…he’s even more surprised by what he does…
and that’s all I’m telling you.
I didn’t read anything about this book, and had no idea what was going to happen when I picked it up. I don’t want to ruin it for you…but if you’re in the comics shop today, or you’re going tomorrow, plunk down your .99 cents and pick this thing up.

You’re right…but I don’t just want YOU addicted to comics…I want EVERYONE addicted to comics.
If you’re reading this, know that my goal is to addict you to comics. It always will be. Comics are the most under rated entertainment form in the world, and you guys don’t know what you’re missing.
Read Comics.
