Don’t know why they changed the name of the series from “CLI for Noobies” to “CLI magic”, but I guess it doesn’t really matter at all. This time we get to enjoy the wonderful teachings of whoever as they lead us through FTP’ing from the commandline.
Wake up, you goodness-to-GUI slacksters! It’s time to get up and get out of that hammock and put your feet on the ground and your hands on the CLI. This week we’re going to talk about data in motion. Taking a file from one place on the network. Putting it someplace else. Most often today some form of FTP, the File Transfer Protocol, is used to do those things. It’s been part of the Internet since there was an Internet.
If anything go check the site out since they did a redesign. Nothing like the new killer FG redesign, but at least they tried ;-).
