Comedy Central announced on Tuesday, October 25 that they will roll out with a Broadband Network called Motherload. Motherload will go live on November 1, and will consist of content specifically for broadband, and also some Comedy Central content. There will be a total of five channels. Each week there will be 50-80 new clips.

Like MTV’s broadband service, Overdrive, the Motherload video player allows for users to search through reams of archived content, and then populate a playlist, allowing then to consume content however they’d like to.

When users log onto the site, video is launched immediately. Motherload’s host, comic Greg Giraldo, will speak directly to users, introducing what is new on Motherload that day.
