If you’ve ever seen any of the two Ghost in the Shell movies, or seen the Anime series, you probably remember the cool mecha-robots called Tachikoma which help the Major and Batou on their missions. Bandai has just announced that they will soon release a remote-controlled Tachikoma which you control through your computer.

Besides being able to control it, the Tachikoma will be able to do cute, but relatively “useless” things like reading your e-mail, start applications or play some mini-games.
This is the type of gadget that usually falls on the “really cool but almost useless” category. But damn, I love these robots, and if I had the opportunity, I’d certainly purchase one, just for the sake of fan service. Regardless of the extra features, this is a very high quality figure, which means that it will probably have a high price tag.
