Looking for a way to give your site (blog) just a little more feeling? Wouldn’t it be cool if your readers could be distinguished by something more than just their names? Well now they can with Gravatar, a new service brought to you by Tom Werner and Rob Cameron.
A gravatar, or globally recognized avatar, is quite simply an 80×80 pixel avatar image that follows you from weblog to weblog appearing beside your name when you comment on gravatar enabled sites. Avatars help identify your posts on web forums, so why not on weblogs?
I will probably implement these sometime in the future as they have already provided us with an MT plugin. Best of all it’s free, but it would be cool to drop a little donation in the bucket.
Thanks to Andrew for the link and Tom
