The United States Supreme Court unanimously confirmed
that using this service to trade copyrighted material is illegal.
Copying copyrighted motion picture and music files
using unauthorized peer-to-peer services is illegal and is
prosecuted by copyright owners.There are legal services for downloading music and movies.
This service is not one of them.YOUR IP ADDRESS IS (INSERT IP HERE) AND HAS BEEN LOGGED.
Don’t think you can’t get caught. You are not anonymous.
Does this sound like a threat to anyone else? Kind of funny though. By the way, if you feel like putting a scary message like this one on your site use the following code:

5I think we ought to show the “government” (or whoever might be tracking visits to the site) that we don’t care that they log our browing of the site. It is not illegal to visit the grokster site. We should see how well they can “track” tens-if not hundreds-of thousands of users visiting as much as possible. Their threats just make me want to tell all my friends to go and visit. They are worthless; don’t blame the technology for the dishonest acts of its users.

10Umm, guys… This is just a tactic by the recording industry, movie industry, and government to scare people. Firstly, it is not illegal to visit a website, even if that website did once allow piracy. Second, even if they did log us and want to do something with it, they can’t. The fact they logged our IP address onto their site doesn’t mean they get to prosecute or even add us to a list of any sort.
I am not a big fan of piracy, but I definitely hate big business and the government trying to scare us! Grokster had a good point about what they should be required to enforce, and they lost, whatever. Remember what happened to Napster when they shut it down? Even before it was official, tons of different music sharing programs just got tons more uploaders… Lol, anyway, its life.
