Comics Continuum has learned that David Boreanaz has been cast as Hal Jordan in the upcoming Justice League: The New Frontier Direct-to-DVD animated feature. Boreanaz is currently starring on Fox’s “Bones”, but is probably best know (in geek communities, anyway) as the character Angel from “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and the “Angel” television series.

Also cast in the new film is Brook Shields, who will be playing Jordan’s long time love interest Carrol Ferris.

Justice League: The New Frontier is based on one of my favorite DC comics of all time, “The New Frontier” by Darwyn Cook. This animated movie has some pretty big shoes to fill, but I have high hopes that it will be a faithful
