Halo 3 Release Set for 2007
Wednesday, Aug. 24 2005 | Author: jeremyHot on the heals of the announcement yesterday that the Halo movie will be released in Summer 2007, Microsoft announced today that they will delay the release of Halo 3 to coincide with the release of the movie.
Fox And Universal have come to terms with Microsoft, finalizing the Halo movie contract and agreeing on a Summer 2007 release. It was also noted that MS is planning to launch Halo 3 at the same time as the movie to optimize marketing potential. Could this be true? Has Microsoft abandoned its original plan to coincide the games launch with that of the PS3?

1My friend is obbbbbsessed with Halo. He is going to freak when he finds out he has to wait longer. Actually, he probably already knows. Poor kid. Hey- you should go to associatedcontent.com. They have a lot of great articles to read on technology and various other topics.

2They only made the right choice (for once). If Halo 3 came out on the same day as the PS3 it’s sales numbers would be shot to death. And if it were released that soon it would be an awfull game, some fans are unhappy with Halo 2’s ending.
Heck, I’m unhappy with the first Halo’s ending, most annoying and repetitive end levels I’ve ever seen, I was swearing all the way through the last minutes of the game, and that flying little orb…. oh I’d kill it SO MANY TIMES if I could…
Now what would really be interesting would be if Killzone for the PS3 and Halo 3 launch at similar dates, then things will become interesting.

4hey i want to play the third game before the danm movie. my freinds are made and i have a lot of friends. you will lose a lot of coustermers if you wait. the story for halo 2 was exactly the same. if you dont release halo3 somtime this year (2006) we will not sopport you.please just have mercy on us and release this game early. we dont care about the movie not nearly as much as we do the game.well thank you and take this into consideration.

6Halo 2 was already delayed at least a year(I forget the exact amount it was delayed but while it was being delayed I heard they had already started work on HALO3!!! If this is true (which I beleive it is because Bungie would never make an ending quite like this one)then they should have been at least close to done now that they have had 2 years. Personally I just think that Bungie is only now making small improvements here and there with side items such as Skulls secrets, glitches, etc. until Playstation3 is ready to launch so the y can make it as good as possible until PS3’s launch.

14Rofl you all are like 12? 11? 10? You can’t wait one year for a game? They are adding improvements to the game and they do not care if they lose “a customer”, I’m sure that halo 3 will sell more copies than halo 2. And you little kids will probably buy it then too. The game is rated M 17+ for a reason. -.-

15i belive its going to be released this summer, mabey not on july 4th but DEFINANTLY NOT fall
think about it, the preorders are already out for halo 3 and halo wars, there were out a few months before the announcment date was even released, but then again, releasing it in fall is kind of a good idea, by that time they should have both games done, people will have a month to play the halo 3 campaign and some xbox live,
then play halo wars (wich is gonna be SICK) they scrubbed the halo movie btw, thats not comin out in the summer, there gonna release that AFTER halo 3 and halo wars, its kinda hard to base a movie off a few hundred thousand while making the 2 greatest games mandkind has ever seen
