Has Google reached a plateau? While Google leads the pack in the search business, its market share has dropped a full percentage point from 44.7% in June this year to 43.7% in July. Analysts warn this could be an indication that Google has reached its limit in aggressively garnering market share gains.
Bear Stearns & Co. Inc. analyst Robert Peck is warning investors that Google may be at a “topping point,” according to Market Watch reports.
“Google’s share of the U.S. Internet search market dipped a full percentage point in July when compared to June’s total, according to research released Friday by comScore Networks Inc⊠43.7% of all search queries conducted in the United States in July used a Google search engine, down from the 44.7% attributed to Google the month before.”
Still, Google is undoubtedly at the top. And while there’s no way from there but down (or a sustained strong position as a market leader), I’m confident that Google will maintain pole position in the search market, at least in the foreseeable future.

1If you are using technology, you need to protect yourself from electromagnetic radiation. It’s inexpensive, and good insurance to protect the most important thing you have–your health.
