So I am slowly shopping around for a second LCD for my computer. Originally, when I got my 19″ LCD a while back, I used my 17″ CRT monitor as my second monitor, but that thing just gave me horrible head aches, so eventually, I ditched it, but since then, I have been feeling very limited with just one monitor.
I watch as the prices on 24″ widescreen LCD’s come down to what could be considered a more reasonable price, and 22″ LCD’s price themselves around what my 19″ one was selling half a year ago, and you realize that huge screen real estate is not as expensive as it used to be. And while it would be fun to have a 60″ LCD for computing, would that be too big?
With LG announcing their preparations with 52″ and 84″ multi-touch LCD screens for public spaces, I wonder what most people’s dreams are in regards to their desktop screen real estate. My cousin has two 22″ LCD monitors. Another friend of mine has a 22″ and a 19″ LCD to get things done on. What do you have, and is it enough?
Are we ever going to get to the point where people are getting neck strain at looking at their two 30″ desktop LCD’s that they picked up for $300 a piece? Very interesting times.

1With the increase in virtual desktops lately I think people will max out at about 24″. Any larger and you couldn’t stay on for 8+ hours a day, you’d feel like you had to work the TV quadrant of Best Buy. Blaring light full on sense assault. Yeesh.

4I have 22″ LCD now, when I bought it like it was a huge screen I’ve ever seen. Nowadays, I just think that not to big :)
