Here’s a little oddity, as reported by Yahoo! News. It would seem that Warner Bros is attempting to develop new versions of their “classic” sitcoms in other countries to appeal to local tastes. A Russian version of Perfect Strangers has already begun airing and Suddenly Susan is set to begin filming relatively soon. Meanwhile, Step by Step and, God help those poor Ruskies, Full House are also in the works.
I can’t say this is surprising. I mean, America does it all the time with British sitcoms and television programs (”American” Idol and the Office, for instance). But Full House? Good lord. I hope these things wind-up on You Tube some day.
