The inventor of the Escape and Backslash keys, Bob Bemer, died this Tuesday at the age of 84 in his home in Possum Kingdom Lake, TX. He also helped contribute to other areas of the ASCII system and friends say he was still using his computer up until a month ago, after his long battle with cancer. This entry coded in ASCII in his honor.
