We are looking at getting some original articles published on Forever Geek and figured we would open this up to the community. In particular I am really interested in Anime Reviews, but you can look at the sidebar to see what categories we are accepting articles for. Geek Articles are anything that you think geeks would find interesting (Sample articles).
Forever Geek caters to the geek community so technology terms and jargon are more accepted than they would be on other sites. However, really esoteric stuff should be defined within parentheses.
We like easy to read articles and if you can inject some humor into your article then all the better. We are lighthearted and enjoy having fun so if your article can do the same then that’s cool. If there are images or illustrations that you could add to the article then by all means do so. First person is encouraged without being too formal and if you are writing an opinion piece then make it as objective as possible and justify why you like or dislike something.
Proper capitalization, grammar, and spelling is both expected and required.
Articles should be a minimum of 500 words.
Articles should be formatted using HTML tags and sent as either a .txt or .html file. Images should be sent as either .jpg, .gif, or .png.
Full credit will be given to the author, so at the bottom of the article please write 2-3 lines of biographical information about yourself, so that it may be included in an “About the Author” section. Do not include this in the email, but include it inside the article itself.
Articles submitted and published on Forever Geek are not to be re-published elsewhere. You may freely re-publish your article elsewhere after a period of 30 days of the article going live. If you are going to re-publish later on, please let us know. We reserve the right to edit submissions for content and clarity and the right to publish and not to publish your article.
Finally, send the article to scrivs{AT}forevergeek.com.
