Speed Racer’s Mach 5 REVEALED!

Well…they got the car right.

USA Today has a first look at the Mach 5 from the upcoming Speed Racer live action film that is being directed by the Wachowski Bros.

The live action film stars Emile Hirsh (”Lord of Dogtown”) as Speed, Christina Ricci (”Black Snake Moan”) as his sister Trixie, and Matthew Fox (”Lost”) as the mysterious Racer X. Filming begins next week.

Waitwaitwait.
Trixie was his *girlfriend* in the TV series. Are they making her his sister for the movie or did you just get mixed up?
Anyhow, the Mach 5 looks ace.

The movie may very well be awful, but at least they got the car right and in movies like these, that sort of thing is half the battle!
