Not sure if your Netflix subscription is really worth it? Then maybe the Netflix Fee Calculator can help. You select the number of shipping days for the month you want to calculate, your membership plan, transit time, and turnaround time. It’ll spit back your average DVD rental cost, the daily late fee, and the maximum number of DVD rentals you could complete in the month. It also includes an analysis area that further discusses your calculations.

1Netflix has a distribution center here in Phoenix, AZ, so DVD’s take only a day, sometimes (rarely) two days.

2On the 3-at-a-time plan I think the biggest gripe most customers have is that they only receive 7-14 disc per month due to Netflix throttling therefore Frogcircus’s figures and analysis are irrelevant. Frogcircus is inaccurate in estimating your number of DVDs because it does not take Netflix’s inventory allocation and delivery practices into consideration. It’s a simple fact which Netflix has stated itself: They lose money when customers pay less than $2.00 per rental. My turnaround calculator gives customers a more accurate estimate as it’s built around Netflix’s $2.00/rental formula.
