After (what I consider) the downgrade that were the current Sony flash MP3 players, they seem to finally be picking up where they did wrong and making their flash based MP3 player better, and actually useful for people that like running.

This little player will be available in 1 and 2GB capacities, and available in pretty much all the colors in the rainbow, well, eventually it will be, right now it’s only black, gray and pink, but trust me, there will be plenty more colors soon enough as soon as Sony starts flushing out those special edition packages.

Besides playing music, hah! bet you you didn’t know it could do that, this little player can tell you how many calories you’ve burned in your jog, and it can also start playing your tracks when you start running. If it happens to start raining there’s no problem, because the player is waterproof also though I wouldn’t dive in a pool with it if I were you.

It’s not a direct opponent to the iPod, but it seems to be somewhat close to what Apple did with Nike recently. Frankly, I’d prefer to follow Apple’s method, and buy an add-on rather than a new player altogether but maybe that’s just me. Still, it looks like it’s a very nice player, and it’s smaller than the current Sony flash players, therefore I think it’s safe to say this is a good upgrade. Let’s just hope the price hasn’t been upgraded also.
