Taking pics of people in the dark is really fun. No really it is because you never know what the result is going to be. Sometimes, it can be lame since it’s hard to tell what color hair the person has (I focus on the bigger issues obviously), but that shouldn’t stop you from trying it. Of course it’s best to have some sort of night-vision camera to accomplish this and we all know how easy it is to get one of those…

But I digress…

The Dutch government has created a night vision camera that turns images into daylight images. It’s pretty cool.

The system selects random pixels from the daytime image to obtain a sample of the range of colours in a typical environment. So a pastoral scene would have browns from the trees, greens from the grass, vegetation and tree canopies, and blues for the sky.
