As the holidays approach, all of the video game companies are trying to sell hardware to the last few million people that don’t already have one by bundling games and other bonuses in with their consoles.
Nintendo’s latest bundle is a regular Gamecube with an included copy of Mario Kart: Double Dash which has sold over 1.6 million copies since its release last year.
The bundle will be available on November 14th, just in time for Christmas. There is also currently a “Metroid Bundle”:http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect?tag=twotallsocks-20&path=tg%2Fdetail%2F-%2FB0002MPVQO%2Fqid%3D1098761869%2Fsr%3D8-1%2Fref%3Dpd_ka_1%3Fv%3Dglance%26s%3Dvideogames%26n%3D507846 available, which is a Gamecube with Metroid Prime included.
Microsoft also announced a new “Xbox bundle”:http://forevergeek.com/games/holiday_xbox_bundle_2_games_xbox_live_14999.php earlier this month.

1Maybe as one of the last few million people not to own a video game console, I should get one of those for myself. Although, I’d much prefer the Super NES with Super Mario Kart. Oh, the days…

2You could always get the Xbox, Mod it, then get an SNES emulator and play Mario Kart whenever you want on there. Along with the over 700 other SNES games released in the US… :)
Or you can get a Dreamcast for about $15 and do the same thing.
Or just buy a SNES and Mario Kart I supposed. But then you actually have to find and purchase the games…

3has anyone noticed how rubbish games are these days? man the amount of time i spent on my snes with mario kart, mario world and streetfighter 2 turbo.. i miss those days so bad! the last game that got me really excited was wipeout 2097/xl on playstation altho saying that i recently bought outrun 2 and burnout 3 and theyve been played quite a bit but i cant help feeling they’re lacking a lot in the love department. atlast prodigy have realeased a new killer album, maybe a new version of wipeout with a ouple of the tracks on will rekindle my cold cold gamesplaying heart
