When Apple unveiled the iPhone I thought that Nokia wouldn’t bother upgrading their, then new, internet tablet devices, since the iPhone rendered them obsolete in most aspects. Luckily, that doesn’t seem to be the case, and now more than ever it looks like they are devoted to bringing the best internet devices they can. This new N810 internet tablet is just the latest example of it.

This new device comes with 2GB of internal memory, which isn’t much considering today’s standards, but it has a slot for extra memory which can expand it to up to 10GB. The screen maintains it’s 800×480 resolution, but this model’s LCD is 20% brighter. The device also has GPS and comes preloaded with a lot of maps.

It will go on sale in November for $479. Right now the most similar device to this one is Apple’s iPod Touch, except that it doesn’t have VOIP, but with the SDK arriving on February who knows what kind of programs Apple developers will be able to come with, without voiding the warranty of their devices.
