Yes, you read that correctly, this small camera by Olympus can take 3 Megapixel pictures with an ISO of 10000, which basically means that you can take great pictures even in dark places. Other than that, it’s a pretty basic camera, but that ISO sensitivity certainly puts it apart from everything else.

This camera will be released next month for £200 / $392.873 which is quite cheap in my opinion, compare to what it does, and compared to the other options in the market, so keep an eye out for it.

1Looks good on paper, but if you’re using ISO that high, you will absolutely need a tripod (which no sane person will carry around for a camera that size) or a convenient surface with the perfect angle which rarely comes by. If not, the picture will be shaky.
Even if the above condition is met, the picture taken will have so much noise that it’ll be useless unless they somehow figured out how to put DSLR sized image sensor into that thing, which I doubt.

2i don’t think that it will need a tripod. the mechanism with which it increases the sensitivity is unlike the film. the sensors have to be sensitive to the available light. the shutter period may remain the same. amplification of the light can be digital. lot of things are possible with digital cameras not possible with the film.
