The Korean cellphone company Pantech, has set it’s sights on Europe, where the cellphone market is outstanding, and has decided to release one of their most popular handsets, the Cocoon, for the European provider O2.
The phone itself is a clam-shell type cellphone with some small features that make it different from other handsets of the same sort.

Outside the handset there seems to be an “invisible” display which can show you things like the time or even a small word. On the side it has a dedicated speaker and media buttons like you’d expect from a DAP. It also appears to have a “scroll wheel” of some sort, which might be interesting depending on the type of software the phone has.
For example, if you can use the scroll wheel to scroll on the music player, it would be much better than what you can do on most handsets (and DAPs for that matters).
As for the specifications it’s pretty average: 2MP camera, Micro SD card slot, QVGA (320×240 pixel) screen, Bluetooth, etc.
It’s not trying to be a revolutionary device, but it’s sleek design and small design touches set it apart from the competition a little. I hope that we see more products like this in the future.
