Windows expert, and provider of excellent Vista updates and reviews has received two Zune units, and as any good internet journalist published a gallery with them. And I have to admit that I’m pretty surprised. Instead of using an already available software, like their portable Media Center OS they seem to have started from scratch and use an eye-candy filled version of the iPod’s and the Creative player’s OS.

I very much doubt that the Zune will steal as much thunder from the iPod as Microsoft hopes, but I think that it really has potential. Now let’s just wait to see if it has a market or doomed to become another dead Microsoft Media Device.

1I think this looks really nice. I only found out about it today, I was aware MS were cooking up something like this but hadn’t actually seen anything.
It’s looking & sounding considerably better than I expected it to be.

2It looks pretty cool. It would be better if it was smaller.
