1Why php? An obvious — and very good — reason may simply be that you know PHP better than the alternatives
This does not sound a good reason.. I’d say ‘given that you have to write a not so important script it would be a good chance to learn a little of ruby/perl/python’.
but the other reason is pretty good ;)
