One of the best sold items in the “geek” online store thinkgeek, is the original PlusDeck which is an internal tape drive. Despite having a large price, no one else makes this drive, at least not that we know of, but it certainly drove enough interest for the company to create a new model of it’s popular device.

This PlusDeck EX can turn your cassette’s music into MP3, and place MP3 songs on a cassette. It also has a radio, and I’m guessing, you can record from your radio to a cassette, or straight to the computer (maybe).
I wonder if 10 years from now we will have to purchase similar devices but to listen or view the current disks we use (CD and DVD).

3Okay, they’ve released it in South Korea. The company told me that they would release worldwide later this year. So, what does that mean and what on-line stores are they going to sell them through?
