Laptops have overtaken desktops in terms of sales in the past few months, and we can credit that to cheaper and faster hardware, and people’s preference–sometimes need–to be mobile (working at a desk is so last year). However, the downside of equipment being mobile is that it’s easy to just grab and run off with. Being a laptop enthusiast myself (hey, just bought a new one–review coming soon!), I decided to compile some useful tips against laptop theft.
Whatâs worse than losing a $2,500 laptop you just bought a couple of months back? Itâs losing the data inside, which is usually more valuable than the hardware itself. Itâs not uncommon for laptop users to consider the contents of their computers as priceless, regardless of what these are. For business users, these can be important company documents or sensitive, confidential communications. For individuals, these can be personal files like family pictures or other such multimedia documents that are likewise valuable and irreplaceable.
So if you’re interested, let’s mosy over to bLaptops for that write-up. I hope I’ve covered all the bases. I’d appreciate comments and useful ideas if I missed some tips and insights.
