Enterprising people come up with some excellent things when given an API. I’ve mentioned flickrGraph and Mappr. This time it’s spelling with flickr.
Enter a word, and it spells out your word with flickr photos. It appears to deliver its results by combing letter tags.

1When attempting to use this site, it appears to be quite buggy if not broken. Seems like a pretty cool idea.

4it should be back up later today. my caching seems to have died, and I was hitting the api 50x/second for about an hour, so they rightfully disabled my api key.
if anyone feels like looking at the source for ideas on how the cache was bypassed, its here

5I can tell my my referer logs that some of you know its back up - but for those that don’t - its fixed. My caching was messed up - silly php bug.
The flickr color picker is made by krazydad/jbum and is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen, check out his flickr photostream for his other coolness (like the flickr poster project). He is amazing with the api
