You may or may not have seen them about but they appear to be relatively new.  If you’re a Star Wars fan and you’ve fancied building your own Lightsaber but never thought of how you can realise the dream, then wish no more.  This little kit gives you more than you need to be either a Sith Lord or a Jedi Master.

The kit was originally shown here in the UK on The Gadget Show and contains 3 pommels, 3 handles, 3 centre bands, 3 front bodies, 3 emitters and a central hilt.  Apparently, this gives you access to hundreds of combinations to give your very own lightsaber a totally unique look.  Best of all however, the glowing, multicoloured blade lights up with sound effects for power on and off.  Naturally, you lightsaber will make the infamous ‘hum’ from the movies as well as the swing and combat sounds.

The weight of the actual weapon is quite good, proving to be reasonably hefty in your hand.  You’ll be surprised by the quality (it isn’t flimsy or cheap looking like a lot of film merchandise) as it is a decent bit of kit.  The bottom line is that if you’re a Star Wars fan then this is a must have.
