Spanish website Consolas.com is reporting that they have the first official picture of the dubbed, Black Xbox 360, which is now referred to as Xbox 360 Elite. So if you are interested in seeing how the console will look from most angles, and what the accessories look like, then you can visit their gallery by clicking here.
Personally, I’m a bit sad that the black models of most gadgets are now becoming the most expensive ones, because I happen to like my “toys” in black. What do you think reader, does the 360 look better in black or in white?

1Black for sure! One of the petty and minor reasons I haven’t bought a 360 was to colour - the rest of my hi-fi components are black, and the 360 would’ve stuck out like a sore thumb.
Now that black is on it’s way, I’ll definitely shell out for the machine… having a 120GB hard drive doesn’t hurt either… or HDMI…

The only other gadget that I can think of that is more expensive in black is the MacBook. Maybe you can think of more, but a few out of thousands doesn’t exactly set a trend.

7When it comes to design, Apple and Sony usually set the trends in terms of design. Both of them, and the companies that follow their trend, have the tendency to make their top products black.
Another couple of examples of companies that make their top products black, is Samsung and Nokia. Both Samsung’s “Elite” series and Nokia’s N series phones are mostly black.
There is no written study (at least that I’m aware of) about this fact. It’s just a trend, like gradients and big fonts with bright colors on most Web 2.0 sites.
