Vista Upgrade invalidates your Windows XP key

As if the Vista Upgrade version wasn’t bad enough already, compared to previous Windows Upgrades, now a blogger named (or known as) Blair is reporting that the Windows XP will become invalid which then prevents you from ever using Windows XP again.

Here’s a quote from Microsoft’s Vista EULA:

13. UPGRADES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligiblefor the upgrade. Upon upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software you upgraded from. After you upgrade, you may no longer use the software you upgraded from.

Do they really want consumers to upgrade, or are they just trying to alienate everyone?

This seems fine (as much as I dislike MS), I read it as if you take an XP license and use the Vista upgrade license, you can no longer run Vista, AND that original XP again together.

That is why you bought the “upgrade”, if this doesnt’ work for you, buy a new install license.

I managed to reinstall XP over Vista by completely removing Vista. Vista prevents you from copying files from your XP disc (or so I figured), so I ran Linux over that, then ran my XP install and it worked fine.

I can also reinstall Vista over my new XP install. It’s just a lotta work.

Can you install everything if youhave vista back if you computer has that recovery thing.
