A Microsoft Exec. slipped up during a recent meeting on the Microsoft Campus, revealing that the release of Vista, Microsofts Next Major OS release, has been pushed back to late 2006.
Microsoft had previously slated the release of the next client version of it Windows operating system (OS) for the second half of 2006. But at the Microsoft Financial Analyst Conference in Redmond, Washington, Thursday, Will Poole, senior vice president of the client division of Microsoft, said the OS would not be available until the 2006 holiday time frame in the U.S.

1And maybe by 2010 they’ll have a Web browser that supports standards that have been at W3C recommendation status for years — regardless of all the hype coming out of WaSP lately, I don’t see it happening anytime soon.
