Basically like many other content boxes, the Xbox 360 will have locking controls over content viewed and played on the Xbox 360. This means that parents can lock-down the system to only play Mature and under rated games.
According to an article on Japanese website Mainichi, parents will be able to set up the console so it will only play games with the appropriate age rating. Meaning that setting it to play anything Mature or below and youre 17-year old wont be able to play AO games even if they have got their grubby mitts on a copy.
The Mainichi article states that the new features will be built-in to US, European and Japanese units something which has never been done or attempted before.
No doubt the hackers will be all over it like wildfire when the console does eventually launch, but at least the thought is there.

2If only that was possible. :) Could you imagine setting it up somehow that it would not play games that had a rating under M?

3How does it know what games have what rating? Are the written on the game data itself? Anyway, I’m sure the parents are jumping for joy over this really… I’m sure my parents would be.

4I am sure you dont have to worry too much…parents can barely set their VCR’s time. :) Also, most parents never even touch the video game console. Let alone set it up. :)
