I own a Philips DVD player that includes DivX technology, allowing me to feel confident that my player can pretty much play any disc that I throw into it. I really enjoy the player and I am happy to announce that Philips and DivX has signed an agreement that will see Philips continue to license the technology for the next two years.
This means that the new generation players from Philips will include the DivX technology. I am looking forward to buying a Blu-ray player, once the standard has been completely locked down, that includes DivX.
Even more interesting to me would be to get a portable DVD player that includes DivX technology for taking on the road. I can fit three or four high quality DivX compressed movies on a single DVD, where only one can fit normally.
DivX has become a global standard for a high-quality digital video experience that bridges the gap between the PC, the living room and mobile environments. With over 100 million DivX Certified® devices shipped into the market from a wide variety of major consumer electronics brands, DivX is the only video format that offers consumers an easy and flexible way to move video content across all the devices in their life, ensuring interoperability between DVD players, mobile phones, in-car devices, digital still cameras, gaming consoles and many other products that bear the DivX logo.
“Our goal is to provide consumers with an open and seamless digital media experience that lets them enjoy high-quality video across any device, from any manufacturer,” said Kevin Hell, CEO of DivX. “We’re extremely pleased to extend our relationship with Philips in order to continue offering global consumers the ability to access their video content on any device they choose.”
Now if only they hadn’t shut down Stage6.

2avoid reading whole chapters unless you feel you absolutely need to.
Step 5: Bombard yourself with some more information, but from another source
Now is the time to get some information from other sources. Often, hearing something in a different way helps me to understand it better. It also gives some flexibility to my comprehension.
I’m not suggesting reading another whole textbook. Instead read a few short articles on the subject in magazines and on websites.
Step 6: Get some real-world feedback
