Whoa. I just downloaded this MOOX guy’s optimized build for Firefox 1.0 and it’s blazingly fast. I downloaded it to just test and see if it actually works, and ye gods, it does. I think it takes advantages of Windows processor’s configurations. I don’t know the details of it–all I know is my Firefox is a lovely, fast maniac now (not that it wasn’t bad before, but this is SUPERB!). :D

Also, if you happen to be running Linux on AMD64 and if your distro happens to be Fedora Core 2.. then for the 5 of you out there there are also some optimized builds ;)

1I feel sorry for them. Their site is being hit…hard. I could hardly download the new version

2Same here. It took me 40 minutes to download 8 megabytes on a T1 connection! :)

3Just started the download and it’s over 50%, so their site must be dealing better now.
And YAY!

4Pah, torrents all the way! (the torrent downloaded in about a minute, limited by my bandwidth cap)
I like it still, and most of the extensions I had in 1.0PR still work fortunately.
