Firefox Now At 15% In US

SpreadFirefox is reporting that, according to a recent XiTi study, Firefox has reached 15% usage in the US and 20% in Europe, with some countries in Europe above 30%.

This monitoring of FF’s progress is getting a little ridiculous, as good as spreading the fox is :P It feels like everytime there is a .00000000005% change in the usage preference of FF everyone and their brother covers the story!

Everytime Microsoft makes a bad decision everyone and their brothers cover the story. It’s better to get momentum for progress instead of retrogress.

And Firefox needs all the momentum it can get in order to continue progressing.

I think the more interesting stat is that of firefox users. only 39% run v1.5 and 61% run v1.0. Most geeks would have upgraded within days of v1.5 release, so I’m guessing that this means that the majority of firefox users are non-geeks. That’s good news.
